My book, Cataloging & Managing Film and Video Collections, was published by the American Library Association in 2015. Though primarily a cataloguing guide, it also attempts to explain the technical features of optical discs, and provides information about the practical, intellectual, artistic and dramatic features of contemporary film production. More lightheartedly, my blog, Libraries at the Movies, looks at the representation of libraries on screen, with each post dedicated to a single film; I suggest that their depiction is more complex than is generally acknowledged. I also analyze the portrayal of librarians, revealing the currency, mundanity, and complexity of librarian archetypes.
